Join Geologist Steve Carlson on a three-day journey into ancient Oregon. Learn about the geology of the Columbia River Gorge on your way to the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument. Visit the Painted Hills, Mt. Hood, Parkdale Mudflow, Hood River delta, Multnomah Falls and other wonders. Includes lodging, five meals and transportation. Mature Learning is an educational and cultural enrichment program at Clark College in Vancouver, Washington for persons fifty-five (55) years of age and older. The program provides and opportunity for senior students to learn in a relaxed atmosphere with no tests, grades or homework. A wide variety of courses are offered including fitness, art, writing, computers, sciences, history, creative writing, health, humanities and others. Most classes meet two hours a week either on the main Clark College campus, at Town Plaza Center or at other locations in the community. Students also travel by coach to Portland/Vancouver opera, theater, symphonies, art galleries, ballet and lecture.
